By working with artisans and manufacturers who adhere to fair trade policies, source raw materials responsibly, or do not promote child labor for example, we ensure that our products are made with respect for the environment, people, and regulations.
Measure the Impact
We believe that every purchase counts, and we measure consumer impact by tracking the traceability and sustainability of every product. We evaluate our overall impact by monitoring key metrics such as reducing carbon footprint, minimizing waste, saving energy and water, and using sustainable materials in our offerings. We evaluate social impact through women empowerment, no hunger, no child labor, etc.

How do we achieve this?
‘Reshape, Recognize and Reward’ Strategy
Fyaril is empowering manufacturers in India by integrating them into our sustainability efforts. By encouraging, incentivizing, and guiding them to contribute to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we aim to create a more sustainable manufacturing ecosystem. Our "Reshape, Recognize, and Reward" strategy includes setting clear standards and metrics for impact measurement, incorporating processes that prioritize ethical practices, and educating manufacturers and brands on complying with these initiatives and regulations in both the EU and India. Through close collaboration, we have jointly defined goals and created a roadmap to achieve them, ensuring that our partners are integral to the mainstream sustainability movement.
Reshape
Enhance Vendor's Contribution to Sustainability -We are reshaping the e-commerce landscape by introducing specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each provider to ensure that their contributions are aligned with the SDGs. These KPIs enable vendors to track their progress and continuously improve their production practices. We set clear KPIs at different levels —vendor, category, and product — to hold our partners accountable and promote transparency. We conduct regular factory visits and assessments of raw materials to verify compliance and strengthen the accountability of our supply chain.
Fyaril educates and assists vendors in complying with sustainable initiatives and regulations, both in the EU and India. With the 'EU Strategy for Textiles' aimed at shifting towards a climate-neutral, circular economy, we ensure vendors meet these standards by focusing on durability, reusability, recyclability, and energy efficiency. In addition, we align with India’s robust textile industry policies that emphasize sustainability, such as the Mega Investment Textiles Parks (MITRA) and Project SU.RE. Vendors are required to demonstrate compliance with these initiatives before onboarding, ensuring they contribute to a more sustainable and responsible textile production landscape.
Recognize
With 78% of consumers adopting sustainable lifestyles, we want to showcase our vendor's contribution to social and environmental causes, aligning with the growing consumer demand for sustainability.
Women Empowerment - We prioritize vendors who promote gender equality and women's empowerment. Approximately 61.4% of prime working-age women (aged 25 to 54) were in the labor force in 2023, compared to 90.6% of men. Note that more than 50% of Fyaril vendors have women employees in top managerial roles To address the disparity, Fyaril encourages more women-led business collaborations by offering them visibility and additional support.
Zero Hunger and Poverty Eradication - Vendors contributing to SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) are recognized through our platform. We work with manufacturers who employ artisans and workers from the margins of society, generate a source of income (55% of Fyaril vendors are run by artisans), or donate a portion of their profits to food banks and poverty alleviation programs.
No Child Labor - We work tirelessly to eliminate child labor from the manufacturing process. We enforce a strict policy that ensures all vendors comply with international labor laws and maintain a zero-tolerance stance on child labor. By working only with vendors who adhere to these standards, we are committed to ethical production practices and support the global movement for fair working conditions. This commitment ensures that every product we offer is manufactured without compromising the rights and welfare of children.
By focusing on slow fashion, we promote ethical production processes and reduce the demand for cheap, exploitative labor. This approach also ensures fair wages and safe working conditions for all workers and effectively combats child labor.
Clean Energy - Fyaril actively educates its partners in the adoption of advanced energy-efficient technologies and practices and promotes the use of renewable energy sources. This commitment is in line with India's national efforts to increase energy productivity and reduce carbon emissions. More than 46% of the brands that Fyaril works with today focus on sustainable energy solutions. while more than 750% of manufacturers are working towards reducing their environmental impact.Water Conservation - Fyaril actively educates its partners in the adoption of advanced energy-efficient technologies and practices and promotes the use of renewable energy sources. This commitment is in line with India's national efforts to increase energy productivity and reduce carbon emissions. Water Conservation - We continue to develop training programs for our vendors to implement advanced water management systems that significantly reduce water consumption and promote recycling. We encourage our vendors to adopt efficient water management techniques, including real-time monitoring technologies, and the integration of rainwater harvesting systems.
By collecting and storing rainwater, vendors can utilize this resource in various stages of textile production, such as dyeing and washing, thereby decreasing their dependence on traditional water sources. We support the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and provide ongoing assistance to ensure continuous improvement in water management. Through our initiatives, almost 45% of vendors have significantly reduced their water consumption, setting industry benchmarks

We introduced the concept of Vendor Badges that serve as a mark of credibility and excellence. These badges help build trust with customers while showcasing your commitment to sustainability and quality.
